St. Paul Winter Carnival offers concerts and parties both indoors and out

There’s plenty of music on tap for the St. Paul Winter Carnival, from cool outdoor concerts to hot indoor parties. Here’s a look at what’s on tap.

Live music at Landmark Center: Landmark Center offers free live concerts throughout the Winter Carnival, including the St. Paul Civic Symphony (2 p.m. Jan. 28), Joey Ryan (noon Jan. 29), vocalist Naomi Karstad, and the Dolce Wind Quintet (noon Feb. 1). The 2018 Rock the Palace: Billed as the “coolest party to celebrate King Boreas’s illustrious return to St. Paul,” this event features the Klondike Kates and music from Bad Girlfriends. 6 p.m. Jan. 27; Saint Paul Hotel, 350 Market St., St. Paul; $20-$15; royalguards.org.

Family Day: The Twin Cities Jazz Project All-Stars are among the acts set to perform during this afternoon of family-friendly activities, live ice carving and the chance to meet Olympic gold medalists and athletes.
