Motorists may want to consider alternative routes to downtown St. Paul this weekend with so many events taking place.

The Red Bull Crashed Ice competition runs from 6 to 10 p.m. Friday and Saturday, while the Minnesota Sportsman’s Show — from noon to 9 p.m. Friday and 10 a.m. to 9 p.m. Saturday — will take place at the St. Paul RiverCentre.

The Minnesota Wild will take the ice at 8 p.m. Saturday against Tampa Bay at the X.

Metro Transit is offering free rides to the Red Bull Crashed Ice events Saturday. And, Uber is offering free rides to new users to downtown St. Paul — just use the promo code STPAUL for a first ride up to $20 off.

For information on parking, St. Paul offers a free interactive parking app featuring information concerning on and off-street parking options and rates. To use the app, visit stpaul.gov/parking and enter a destination.
