Hunting for a family-friendly activity before the Winter Carnival starts this week? For more than 50 years, families have puzzled over clues to the Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt and searched for the hidden medallion.
This year’s Treasure Hunt, presented by Fury Motors, kicks off today with publication of the first clue. The first person to figure out the daily clues and find the medallion hidden on public land in Ramsey County could win up to $10,000. See the official rules on this page.
Along with the Treasure Hunt clue appearing daily in the Pioneer Press, hunters can go to TwinCities.com to watch a daily video of the clue writer (in disguise) reading the clue, see an interactive map of the previous years’ medallion sites, catch videos of the medallion hunters in action, participate in discussion boards and follow the action.
