The race begins soon
Warm up for the Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt. The race to find the '07 medallion will begin with the unveiling of the first clue Jan. 21.
In a tradition begun in 1952, the medallion is hidden on public land in Ramsey County. Treasure hunters, working alone or in teams, scamper to be the first to decipher the clues and find the medallion. The discoverers could win up to $10,000 and $1,200 in groceries from Cub Foods, sponsor of the event.
Each day's clues will become available at midnight on the paper's Web site, www.twincities.com. Those wanting a half-hour jump, however, can get the clues by buying a paper at the newspaper's offices at 345 Cedar St. in downtown St. Paul.
