Oh yea, I forgot about Cap. The year that it was at Como when they talked about east and west, that was the same year everyone thought it was at Harriet and then had to literally run across town at the last minute. So it's possible they are referring to that year and maybe even trying to set up a reverse scenario.

Keeping with Como - the "perch" could be the Space Tower?

Hello everyone - I am new to this forum but have been searching for the medallion since I was a toddler (many years :). Great discussion about Como. I believe the clues fit well and it is time for it to be back in St. Paul. I am wondering since this is only clue #3, that the medallion might be somewhere in the sight path of the soaring Eagle ride instead of actually being really close to the ride?  Como Town is closed for the winter so maybe that is a good general area.  It has to be in a place where there are good landmarks because of all of the snow and ice this year. My son lives across the street from the old streetcar and I have been over there so much. I have ridden the Soaring Eagle and when it is up in the air you can see a lot.  Usually, clue 3 isn't all that specific but is giving more detail about the park. But I think it makes sense for it to be on that side of the park since there are more sidewalks and areas for it to be hidden where it is not in the middle of waist-high snow. Here is a video of what it looks like at the top of the soaring Eagle ride. https://youtu.be/MECGkNdS-G4

I like that, David. And, it makes sense that they are having us drive all over town at this point. Lol

That ride really does sound like you're coming down from a perch. I was also thinking it meant it was in St. Paul because I think they used similar language in reverse when it was at Bald Eagle Park in White Bear.

Como Town Soaring Eagle Zip Ride takes visitors in reverse 420 feet from one end of the amusement park to the top of the ride 85 feet in the air for a panoramic bird’s eye view of Como Town, Como Zoo (including the new Gorilla Forest) and Como Park, and then riders will soar back to the starting point while enjoying the spectacular view.

The Soaring Eagle’s double seat comfortably and safely accommodates two riders – children and adults–who can experience the attraction together.

I know I’m probably staying the obvious here, but there is an actual unexploded bomb at como.

I feel like the clues are screaming Como almost to the point of being too obvious. But this latest clue writer has been more direct these last few years.

Or, simply referring to the high school of the same name.

"Cap and gown" in Clue 2 could be referring to the picnic shelters in Como where a lot of graduation parties are held.  Or perhaps to the spot on the pavilion side east of Lexington Ave where a lot of posed photos are taken.  Many of those are wedding party photos, but I've seen grad photos taken there also.
I imagine that many parks are popular for grad parties, so singling out Como based on that may be a reach.
"Tackle" in Clue 1 could be a reference to the soccer field at the south end of the park.

Re: Clue 1 is online now at TwinCities.com

That would be interesting.  A good share of the space down there is a designated off leash dog park, I visit it often.  A great choice if you have a dog that likes to swim, not so great if not—very limited actual walking area.  There is a spot where the off leash section begins, but it is ignored by many—be ready to encounter many off leash dogs wherever you go down there.  And dogs are like kids—some are great, some are not.

So, I'm a bit bias and hope the puck is in St. Paul. I decided to go with battle and brain to start my search because why not. I'm wondering with the reference to the pandemic and brain if perhaps the puck is in the vicinity of a medical facility that specializes in brain study. For battle I thought I look into something more like a military reference such as the 94 Freeway which is known as Purple heart trail. So, for now I'm thinking Meeker Island Lock & Dam Historic Park because a Masonic Institute for the Developing the Brain is nearby as is the 94.  Like others have mentioned the use of tackle and muse point to a lot of possibilities. Keep on noodling. Also did anyone watch the deed is done video? My partner thinks they heard water in the background.

Great noodle!  Maybe we should be looking "all around the town, meaning outside Como Town.

Life of ease reminds me of the "triple e" gate at Como. That's right by Como Town which has a ride called the Tornado and other rides where your knees might buckle. It's also by the West Picnic Grounds off of (battle of) Midway and it's an aMUSEment park.

Just a thought.

Regarding the NY possible reference, isn't there a New York Life Eagle at summit overlook park--descend from your perch. Also probably not related but going back to clue one tackle and the chain mentioned in this clue, a funny thing happened in one of the playoff games in which the football chain broke during the NY Giants and Phil Eagles game.

Didn't someone mention a Hamilton reference from clue 1 as well, which is created by Lin-Manuel Miranda also from the NY? Perhaps we're looking for a park near a theatre or contains a stage? I'm sure clue 3 will make a mockery of all my thoughts. The game is afoot.
