I changed my focus to Harriet Island because I want the puck to be in St. Paul but not in Como. The line about East side West side all around town is like an exact lyric as many pointed out. So, what do you focus on, the lyric, the writers? "The words were a shared vision of Lawlor and Blake and recall their childhood neighborhoods and those who grew up with them. It was a universal longing for youth, yesteryear, and place, although it was also idealized because both Lawlor and Blake had grown up quite poor. The search led me to this article, The Shifting Sands of Harriet Island. Another use of cap to mean Clarence "Cap" Wigington like a few years back, Harriet who established a school system, location is right across Lowertown, and Dr. Justus Ohage After purchasing the island, he donated it to the City in 1900 on the condition that it be used as a park and serve the general public interest of health and hygiene. Just throwing this idea out there. I'm sure after tomorrow's clue, I'll change to Phalen. Link to article https://storymaps.arcgis.com/stories/a9ab4aac0f5241c3b7018f9ba579270e

"Descend from your perch" made me think of the Soaring Eagle ride at Como Town. Maybe dig where the ride starts to soar back?!?! IDK... maybe someone said this already. :)DESCRIPTION
Como Town Soaring Eagle Zip Ride takes visitors in reverse 420 feet from one end of the amusement park to the top of the ride 85 feet in the air for a panoramic bird’s eye view of Como Town, Como Zoo (including the new Gorilla Forest) and Como Park, and then riders will soar back to the starting point while enjoying the spectacular view.
The Soaring Eagle’s double seat comfortably and safely accommodates two riders – children and adults–who can experience the attraction together.

I feel like the clues are screaming Como almost to the point of being too obvious. But this latest clue writer has been more direct these last few years.

Or, simply referring to the high school of the same name.

"Cap and gown" in Clue 2 could be referring to the picnic shelters in Como where a lot of graduation parties are held. Or perhaps to the spot on the pavilion side east of Lexington Ave where a lot of posed photos are taken. Many of those
are wedding party photos, but I've seen grad photos taken there also.
I imagine that many parks are popular for grad parties, so singling out Como based on that may be a reach.
"Tackle" in Clue 1 could be a reference to the soccer field at the south end of the park.

Re: Clue 1 is online now at TwinCities.com
That would be interesting. A good share of the space down there is a designated off leash dog park, I visit it often. A great choice if you have a dog that likes to swim, not so great if not—very limited actual walking area. There is a spot where the off leash section begins, but it is ignored by many—be ready to encounter many off leash dogs wherever you go down there. And dogs are like kids—some are great, some are not.

So, I'm a bit bias and hope the puck is in St. Paul. I decided to go with battle and brain to start my search because why not. I'm wondering with the reference to the pandemic and brain if perhaps the puck is in the vicinity of a medical facility that specializes in brain study. For battle I thought I look into something more like a military reference such as the 94 Freeway which is known as Purple heart trail. So, for now I'm thinking Meeker Island Lock & Dam Historic Park because a Masonic Institute for the Developing the Brain is nearby as is the 94. Like others have mentioned the use of tackle and muse point to a lot of possibilities. Keep on noodling. Also did anyone watch the deed is done video? My partner thinks they heard water in the background.

Re: PP Medallion Hunt - Clue #2
Didn't someone mention a Hamilton reference from clue 1 as well, which is created by Lin-Manuel Miranda also from the NY? Perhaps we're looking for a park near a theatre or contains a stage? I'm sure clue 3 will make a mockery of all my thoughts. The game is afoot.
