Past medallion finders strike again

It took experienced hunters to find this year's Flake Festival medallion. On the seventh day of this year's contest, the winners of the 2012 hunt took back their crown Friday morning by finding the clear circle held by magnets under the merry-go-round at Beltz Park.
Kristi Immel, Shannon Tetrault and their crew of kids – Breann Shurb, Landen Loughrey and Billy Ackerman – looked for the medallion every day since the hunt began on Saturday and focused primarily on the large park in southeast Forest Lake.
