The St. Paul Winter Carnival’s new talent show has been canceled for lack of participation.
Preliminary tryouts for the “Carnival’s Got Talent,” which was to feature a variety of acts, were slated for this weekend and next weekend at Roseville’s Rosedale Center. Finals were to take place at downtown St. Paul’s Crowne Plaza hotel on Jan. 30.
Participants were supposed to pre-register, rather than just show up. But lack of registered attendees caused organizers to cancel the event, an event spokesperson said.
The Winter Carnival runs from Jan. 21 to Jan. 31.
