A River Falls, Wis., community booster is set to take over the reins of the St. Paul Festival and Heritage Foundation this spring.
Rosanne Bump, president and CEO of the River Falls Area Chamber of Commerce and Tourism Bureau, will head the group that puts on the Winter Carnival once Beth Pinkney, current president and CEO, leaves her post May 31.
Bump will join the foundation in mid-January to get up to speed on the annual winter festival and the West Side Cinco de Mayo celebration, which the foundation started organizing last year.
Pinkney, 42, of Woodbury has helmed the annual event since November 2008 but is leaving to run the 2015 Summer National Senior Games, which will draw more than 13,000 athletes 50 years and older to St. Paul, Minneapolis and Bloomington.
The 2013 Carnival runs Jan. 24 through Feb. 3.
