The Moon Glow Pedestrian Parade begins at 6 p.m. Jan. 23, marking the official start of the St. Paul Winter Carnival. Walk with Winter Carnival organizers, local leaders and neighbors in this pedestrian procession, and feel free to bring candles or flashlights. Gather at 410 N. Robert St. in downtown St. Paul, and stroll to Rice Park, where paraders will be greeted with 20-foot flames shooting out of hot-air balloon baskets.
- All ages are welcome.
- Bring light-up items, including glow sticks, hats, jewelry and anything else that will help light up the night.
- Start at Securian Building/Chamber of Commerce lobby, 401 Robert St.
- End at Rice Park, where there will be live music, an ice bar and the heat from the hot-air balloon baskets.
