All events during the 132nd St. Paul Winter Carnival, Jan. 25-Feb. 10, take place in the city of St. Paul and are free and open to the public, unless otherwise noted. DAILY EVENTS

Winter Carnival events in Rice Park — Ecolab Ice Palace, Not Your Father’s Winter Carnival Music Series, Ice Carvings and Ice Bars. 10 a.m.-10 p.m., 109 W. Fourth St.

Music series will feature tunes from disco to Latin and country to kids — starts at 5:30 p.m. weekdays, noon weekends. (Band information listed below where available.)

Ice bar (hours vary, but usually opens at 4 p.m. most weekdays, noon weekends, closing time varies) will have Barefoot wine, mulled wine or beer.

Vulcan Snow Park and Minnesota State Snow Sculpting Contest — Organized by the Witner Carnival Vulcans, Vulcan Snow Park takes place on the Minnesota State Fairgrounds. Daily attractions include giant snow slide, snow piles and snow sculptures. Special events include Vulcan Fun Day and Polar Plunge. MNSnowPark.com.

Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt  — This legendary hunt for the medallion kicks off with the first poetic clue posted in today’s Pioneer Press and on TwinCities.com. A new clue will be published daily through Feb. 1 or until the medallion is found.

Wells Fargo WinterSkate on Landmark Plaza — Free, open skate. Skate rentals available. Fifth and Washington streets.

Fire & Ice Winter Carnival Art Show at AZ Gallery — Show features more than 100 works from Minnesota-based artists, each depicting the beauty of winter and the promise of spring through the themes of fire and ice. 308 Prince St.

Memorabilia Display — Winter Carnival historian and collector Marilyn DiMartino displays St. Paul Winter Carnival memorabilia from 1886 to the present. DiMartino and other volunteers are available to answer questions. Landmark Center, north gallery.

THURSDAY, JAN. 25

Grand Opening Ceremony and Ice Palace Lighting Ceremony: After everyone is assembled in Rice Park following Moon Glow Parade.
