This medallion hunt was a wonderful summer activity that went along with the Jamboree Celebration dating back to the 1970's that was conducted by the Columbia Heights Lions Club.

After that project ceased and was not renewed, it was brought back in the early 2000's with the full support of then Tasty Pizza owner Todd Estrem. Todd's support was the foundation to this medallion hunt.

Todd died in February, but we will make sure his legacy will live on forever. This medallion hunt is a small part in the effort of ensuring his hard work, generosity and friendship continue on.

This Medallion Hunt continues with the full support of the new Tasty Pizza ownership.

We would like to hear from you about Todd and this medallion hunt. If you would like to share a memory of the medallion hunt or a memory of Todd please text it to Joe at 763 464 8766.

Remembering and sharing is honoring and carrying on Todd's legacy.

Todd Estrem Tasty Pizza Medallion Hunt Rules and information

1. This is a family friendly hunt in the spirit of community connecting and is a community boosting endeavor. Take time to meet and greet your fellow hunters.

2. Any conduct by particapants deemed unlawful, unethical or inappropriate will ellminate particapants' eligibility in the hunt.

3. Medallion hunt participants must conduct their hunt in accordance with local municipal rules, ordinances, and laws.

4. When you find the medallion take a photogragh of it where you find it and text the photo to 763 464 8766. You will be given further direction at that time.

5. Staff at Tasty Pizza are not eligible for this hunt and have no information as to its whereabouts.

6. Clues will be post at 11 am and 7 pm at Tasty Pizza. Clues will be posted an hour after that on the Tasty Pizza Facebook page.

7. Clues will be given on the hour, every hour, if the medallion is not found by noon on Sunday, June 25th, 2023.

Remember that there is no need to dig or climb in searching for the medallion, and be a good neighbor while in the public place you seek.

When you find the Todd Estrem Tasty Pizza Medallion, you will see it's in plain view.

Join us on Thursday at Huset Park for our own CHHS alumni Rockstar Bob's Rockshow with very special guest Mad Mikes Funhouse.

Join us on Friday for the parade, and Saturday for the fireworks at dusk.

And also, this weekend Taylor Swift is in town for two shows. Her favorite number is also 13.

Still hearing the words that were sung by my very good friend Rockstar Bob last night, "schools out for summer" at Rockstar Bob's Rockshow? That song was penned in 1972 by Bob's friend Alice Cooper.

The 1970's television show phrases that can be used in everyday life today.

If someone asks you a question, and you don't know the answer, simply reply "what you talking about Willis"?

If you want to get someone off your back, warn them "don't make me angry, you would not like me when I'm angry."

Or if you're excited about some thing, clap your hands and loudly exclaim "dy-no-mite"!

If you want to note that something that is arriving, look up, as if nobody else could hear it, and exclaim, "incoming"!

Wish a family member at bed time a restful night by saying "goodnight Johnboy".

When greeting somebody exclaim "hey-hey-hey".

There are so many more, but finally, from one of my favorite shows, The BRADY Bunch, when you are reminding a family member of their mistake, tell them, "mom always said don't play ball in the house".

Many parts of The Mighty Ducks movies were filmed in Fridley at the former site of Columbia Arena.

Today is the day in which your search efforts shall pay.

Be on the Lookout for gold.

Spending five days searching for a medallion, you could surely tell a story.

You see it is not the trophy, but the hunt, that brings you all the glory.

It's the moments right here, and right now that create the memories.

It's about being together, that will truly tell the story.

A judge presides over the court and sits upon a bench.

A king sits upon a thrown.

America has a President; the White House is his home.

"Sitting on the dock of the bay" is a good song

But why do we drive upon a parkway and we park upon a driveway.

This is not a clue, info only.

If the medallion is not found by noon, clues will be posted starting at noon and every hour on the hour until the medallion is found. Please hunt safely and courteously. We are all in this hunt together!!!

Did you know that Cinco de Mayo is simply the month of May.

Hey that kind of rhymes with Huset Parkway.

Facing towards Minneapolis would be the best view to see, the gold in which seek.

Huset hosts has hosted the carnival, ball games, Rockstar Bobs Rock Show, and a fireworks show.

Maybe focusing on that park alone from now one will bring you to your goal.

There's pancakes in the area this morning you know.
