The summer of '22 marks another chapter in the 'Bridges of Scenic Pope Co.' history.
That Schroeder Construction/Glenwood Bridge is the contractor is certainly no mystery.
With many projects throughout the state for 3 generations they have quite the reputations
Of making smooth and safe connections between golf courses and other highway destinations.

First, please be reminded of what I say again this year, as has been said for years before.
(The reference to highway bridges is where the medallion is NOT, but merely a metaphor).
So please do not go there, obey signs, tape, or any restrictions, in your search for the purse
Be alert, respectful of private property - it is at a public location - OK? Now let's all disperse!

Besides the many natural blessings and abundance that the Creator here bestows.
As inhabitants of this locale for 40 years, we welcome yet more amenities as Glenwood grows.
Mountain bike trails through Barsness Park, a winery, and a splash pad about to make its' debut,
And new downtown venue: Verge of Fantastic and the Waska Village, to name but just a few.

More so we're thankful or those along the way that we are proud to call our neighbors
And the varied experiences that we've all shared in our leisure and our labors:
From the majority of these in a supporting role, and those community leaders at the helm.
The newcomers, up and coming young people, and those saints who now live in another realm/

We each can be builders of bridges through our actions and in the words that we say
If we are willing to listen, dialogue and compromise, and not insist on 'my way or the highway'
Viewpoints that can seem far apart can be focused if both sides would yield just a little
And allow for productive relationships to span the divide by meeting someplace in the middle.

Many raise the pointer finger off the wheel to those heading in a diametrically opposite direction
So should we acknowledge fellow travelers to the right and left when coming to an intersection
According to the rules of traffic law right of way, one party will go and the other will stay;
Or in some situations, both may proceed in orderly fashion in a roundabout parting o the way.

WAIT! ... that reminds me of last year's location at the Franklin St. /Minnesota Ave. semaphore
Not that it is necessarily at a different corner this year, there remains a lot of new hiding places
And don't forget that there are other bridges to be found in more park like spaces.
