As you start to surveil, stay near the rail
To the valuable plot we’ve selected.
The medallion this year, this is clear
Will not be so easily detected.
Explanation:
Surveil=Hwy 52 traffic surveillance cameras. Rail=the long handrail along the trail, the medallion was hidden in line with this railing. Tells hunters the medallion is not metal and clear. It was inserted into a stick and placed on the ground.

Words to the wise with eyes on the prize:
(When you are out to pull in the haul)
Plot your course, go out in full force,
And if in need of help just make a call.
Explanation:
Eyes, force, call=A neighborhood ‘Watch Force” sign located on Bircher Ave. The sign has a bunch of eyes on it. These eyes are looking across Stickney Ave. to the medallion hiding spot.

While on your quest, skills will be test.
You may find it hard-the path to success.
Drowned out by sound? Turn around!
Then make your way back towards town.
Explanation:
This was the first hint that you were looking for just a path (or trail), and not a park. As hunters would head up the path, over the Hwy 52 footbridge, the sound of flowing traffic would become very loud. As hunters realize this, they should turn around, head back down the trail, to where the medallion was hidden.

Accented and colored white, both offer insight.
Strike it rich, but only with dynamic play.
Look upon the land, embrace sleight of hand,
And you’ll be on the path to payday.
Explanation:
Works as another hint towards a path and not a park. Accented, white, strike, dynamic, play=All terms relating to the white piano keys. Hunters would need to discover that there are 52 white keys on a piano. This was to give a nearby Hwy 52. Embrace sleight of hand=another plug at Hwy 52, magician card tricks use sleight of hand, there are 52 cards in a deck.

Up in the hills, is where to get your thrills.
Reroute yourself from point A to B.
As you embark, stick to a trail, not park.
Just hurry, we near the end of our spree!
Explanation:
Works as another hint towards a path and not a park. Up in the hills=hunters are to look at the western bluff side of South St. Paul. Reroute=one of the current Concord Street’s many reroutes runs along Stickney Ave. A, B, stick=another reference for Stickney Ave. The street was named after Alpheus Beede Stickney, otherwise known as AB Stickney. Stick=also works as a reference to the stick hunters were looking for. Near the end=notes that the medallion was located ‘near the end’ of one of the trail sides.

We played our game and drove you insane.
Wish we could have done more connecting.
A footbridge will do, find a path off Hwy 52,
The Northwest corner needs some detecting.

It was a heck of a fight, so let’s make right,
To the winner-all the spoil.
Look to a French leader, to make is clearer,
As he points to treasured soil.

Follow the handrail, straight down the trail
Into the woods, not far, its sitting.
The ground it remains, within leafy veins
Just find a stick off Stickney, so fitting.
Explanation:
Explains to hunters how to find the footbridge, located on a path near Hwy 52, in the Northwest corner of South St. Paul. French leader, points=Napoleon Circle points directly at our treasure location. Hunters should follow the handrail, down to the where Napoleon Circle points, and walk in the wooded area. The medallion was inserted into a stick, placed within the leaves, and directly in line with handrail (About 10 paces into the woods).
