2021 LaCrosse Riverfest Medallion Hunt

The 2021 Riverfest medallion was found by Lindsay S. and Erin L. They found it at the Black River Beach Neighborhood Center next to the Chad Erickson Special Olympics rock.
This year, the Riverfest Medallion hunt has highlighted the work of the Chad Erickson Memorial Fund. This organization was created by 2016 Riverfest Commodore and First Mate, Dave and Barb Erickson in memory of their son, Chad. The fund has contributed to projects that Chad was passionate about and that assist and support young people in the La Crosse Area. These projects include the support of La Crosse Special Olympics programs, donation of a Tract Chair all-terrain wheelchair, the La Crosse Skate Park, Chad Erickson Memorial Park, Miracle Field at the Onalaska YMCA, La Crosse Freedom Honor flights, support of our United States military veterans through the donation of a local home to the Tomah VA, and so much more.
