2010 Litchfield Watercade Medallion Hunt

The annual Watercade medallion hunt starts today and ends Sunday.
Clues for the medallion hunt will be posted daily at 10 a.m. in the window of the Independent Review office at 217 Sibley Ave. N. and on this website. Clues also will be read live on the air at KLFD-AM 1410. Clues will not be read over the telephone.
he medallion is hidden in the Litchfield area on public property. Finding the medallion will not require digging, climbing, cutting, hammering or any destructive means to retrieve it. Medallion hunters are urged not to search on private property or damage trees, shrubbery, buildings or other public property in their search.
Last year, the medallion was found by the clock on the corner of the Litchfield Public Library.
The person who finds the medallion can claim the grand prize of $200 by presenting it to a Watercade board member. To be eligible for the $200 grand prize, treasure hunters must have a 2010 Watercade button. Anyone without a button who finds the medallion will be eligible for a $100 prize.
The person who finds the medallion must present it the day it is found to a representative of the Watercade Medallion Committee by calling Rose Lendt at 320-693-8992 or Keith Johnson at 320-894-8822. The hunt ends at 5 p.m. Sunday, July 12.
The prize will be awarded during the Miss Litchfield coronation Sunday, July 11, at Bernie Aaker Auditorium in the Meeker County Family Service Center.
