2024 Plymouth Fire & Ice Medallion Hunt
Primary tabs
Update - 9:30 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 25: The Fire and Ice Medallion has been found.
Congratulations to Brandi Steinberg who located the medallion at the Northwest Greenway. From the challenge course, hunters had to cross the boardwalk completely, go north on the trail, and locate the medallion on the left side of the path hiding at the base of a log. Thank you to everyone who participated in this year’s hunt.
Jan. 4 update: Fire & Ice canceled due to unsafe ice conditions
Due to unsafe ice conditions, the 2024 Fire & Ice winter festival has been canceled. Unseasonably warm winter temperatures have not allowed for the necessary ice to support the event on Parkers Lake.
The Fire & Ice Medallion Hunt (set to begin Thursday, Jan. 4) and the Coloring Contest (set to begin Monday, Jan. 8) will be held as planned. View more information in the accordions below.
Participation Instructions
Clues will be posted on this page of the city website and the city's social media platforms each Thursday during the month of January (Jan. 4, 11, 18 and 25), or until someone finds the medallion.
A $250 prize will be awarded to the first sleuth who finds the medallion.
There is no need to register or pay to participate.
Note: The medallion is hidden on city property. The medallion is hidden in such a way that it is not out in the open. Staff does not uncover it after a snowfall to make it more visible. Participants should be able to wipe away any snow to find the location of the medallion. The person who finds the medallion should contact Plymouth Parks and Recreation at 763-509-5200.
