Fishing near a point or a pier
with a minnow on your rig

The elusive trophy walleye,

But steer clear
Of areas without cover
If you want to retrieve
OUR lucky lure.
Explanation:
The point is “Meshigun”, which is also a street near where the kids minnow races were held. The treasure is not in an open area, but on the edge where there is tall grass.

Explanation:
The sands refer to the sand for the kids coin hunt. If you scramble “fro” you get for, and the last line gives you the numbers 2 and 4, which refer to 2nd and 4 mile feed.

The treasure is hidden on the lot that the city stores its sand and gravel, which is delivered in “yards”. It is hidden in an “extra yard” (pile) that hadn’t been touched in a while and had a hardish crust.
