It’s once again time for the Sleigh and Cutter medallion hunt.

The medallion is hidden within the city limits of Waseca. It is on public property that is accessible 24 hours a day. The reward for the person(s) finding the medallion is $1,750.

This year’s clues are written to the theme song from the TV’s “The Beverly Hillbillies.” Save each of the five weeks’ clues until the entire song is complete. Hear audio versions of the clues at wasecacountynews.com.

The medallion hunt is sponsored by Waseca HyVee, Charlie’s Hardware, Waseca County News, First National Bank, KOWZ/KORN Radio, Healing Hands and Waseca VFW Post 1642

But alter course before the coin is found
If early evening takes you on your quest
You’ll like this spot for its lovely sunset

Dusk, that is…eventide, beautiful

Just keep on track, don’t turn yourself around
The tips will come, and we hope they won’t confound
Here Mother Nature serves variety
In landforms present through eternity

Throughout this locale, see the trees in threes
Look to the north to view as many as you please
And down on the ground as on bended knee
You’ll witness the effects of a double-boughed tree

Wind, that is…crooked growth, nature’s plan

You’ll note an abundance of landscape and signs
Stoic red branches with bushes intertwined
You’ll want to be on foot as you head out through the park
Notice all the foliage sprouting out of the bark
