Sorry. Xcel Energy Center.
Re: PP Medallion Hunt - Clue #9
Oh, yeah. I forgot about that area. I was there on the last clue ( I rushed over from the Winter Carnival Ice Palace downtown near Excel Center) to watch the ruckus in the pit. No way was I going to get in there.

Re: PP Medallion Hunt - Clue #9
There are hills in Phalen. There is one by the Lakeside Activity Center and another one towards the back where the mosh pit from 2004 was.

Or a hero or sub sandwich wrapper could be what the medallion is wrapped in, if it is not wrapped in the fruitsicle/ice cream cone package from Sticks and Cones at Farmer's Market in Lowertown.
There's a children playground at Phalen just south of the picnic pavilion. And just south of that, near a parking lot, is the Lakeside Activity Center, which has a hill behind it. Otherwise, I don't see any hills in Phalen, but that's just from the Google map view. I don't have a car to get there.
One more thing at Phalen is the 'Meditation' sculpture, just north of the amphitheater. There is a company called Muse that makes a sort of headband that helps with meditation and sleeping. https://choosemuse.com/
Oh. And don't forget about the Phalen Poetry Park (west side of Wheelock Pkwy, just south of the Rec Center parking lot) to help 'tackle the rhymes with your brain'.

Re: PP Medallion Hunt - Clue #9
I bring up the 1992 one just because I see it had lighted arches. Maybe the clue is just alluding to ice palaces in general and maybe the ice palace monument in Phalen specifically?

Re: Phalen, Edward
Ben pointed out that the 1973 finders were college students who came up north from Mankato. One of them was named Zielinski which would be a variation of Zelensky which could be the capeless hero and ties back to Clue 1. Everything else could fit multiple parks, but between this and the clue yesterday likely about Phelen, it's hard to ignore and go dig elsewhere.
Re: Phalen, Edward
Wondering what else leads to Phelan other than some of Clue 7 and the “East Side” and “chain” references possibly. Thanks.

Re: PP Medallion Hunt - Clue #8
I am so sorry that happened to you. I had a wallet stolen out of a stroller there last year and I wasn't far away from it. I hope you get everything squared away. It is so much work to sort all of this out. :(
Re: PP Medallion Hunt - Clue #8
This would be the 50th anniversary of that find. :)
Re: PP Medallion Hunt - Clue #8
I think you're onto something there Ben. I didn't want it to be at Phalen because one of my Winter Carnival Scavenger Hunts is there, but it may well be. It's hard to argue against Clue 7 being about Ed Phelen now that I'm more familiar with the story. I was kind of thinking there on the chain clue as it is part of a chain of lakes, but Como was sounding better. I don't like how it fits some of the clues compared to other parks, but really, that's been a running theme for years now. Johnson High School is nearby. Some of the street names seem to fit. Maybe the Sidewalks of New York thing just means it is near a path?
