Regarding Christmas, Burl Ives has a song titled Silver & Gold. There also another XMAS song with silver and gold.

Fred ossana also lied and became a big disgrace when he was convicted of fraud for activities that dealt with the conversion of street cars to buses

Forgot about them kidnapping hamm, but my thought when I mentioned them is here they had just robbed a back and we're coming back to st.paul stopped in como park and killed a Christmas wreath sales man. They pulled in the road that runs past como town and parked in the lot right next to it...I think it was referred to as the Christmas massacre...I believe they were also the ones who kidnapped bremer also

If we're going with leave Como,

The skeleton of Charlie Pitts, a member of the notorious James Gang, was found in the bottom of Como Lake (once called Sandy Lake). Apparently, a Dr. Henry Hoyt had submerged the skeleton to bleach it for display.

Is this the lie talked about, because it wasn't actually his body.

The 2004 treasure hunt explained had some great information, the puck that year was found in Orchard Park. Perhaps orchard is a link to ripe for the catch? Is CW pulling from past hunts?

Yes, Wheelock PWY joins the two, and Joseph Wheelock was the editor of the PP. GAAAAAHHHHHHHH It just whirls round and round.

That is over off of Victoria and Wheelock on that side of the lake. That kind of fits too.

I haven't read all the posts about this clue 7, yet. I read the clue just after midnight, and started researching past Treasure Hunts, especially those that were in Como Park. Some of these clues seemed familiar to those. And in 2003, there was the obscure clue about a woman who 'fled the man and ran and ran, was a carpenter's beau (should have been belle) and left with a Walker. The PP clue explanation said it was about a certain named woman who killed her husband, escaped from jail and hid out in or near Como park with a man (her nephew, she claimed) named John Walker. I googled  the woman's name and found a PP story written by Jim Ragsdale (former Treasure Hunt Clue writer, deceased 2014) in 2000 about the execution of the woman.
A lot of these clues seem to be in his style. So Clue 7 had me thinking it's referring to either George Santos, or possibly Ed Phelan, who was acquitted of murdering a business partner, but left the area in disgrace and moved to California.
If that is the interpretation, then Phalen Park may be the place. Another play on the East (Phalen) West (Como) clue.
Just random thoughts.

The Barker=Karpis gang kidnapped William Hamm of the Hamm's Brewery family and released him after getting a ransom from the family. There is the Hamm memorial waterfall that looks directly over the Como Lakeside pavilion where the waltzing and leisure sports (get up at leisure = paddleboarding) take place.  " Strap on your glove, look up above (from where you walzing and not down by the parking lot).

There is a parking lot down below the waterfall by the pavilion and a circular walk area above the waterfall. Don't search down by the parking lots (one on each side of the pavilion). I wonder if  these clues are now leading us around the walking paths of the park. The CW has sent us all over the park, which he talked about at the beginning, "all around the town", but may now be honing in a bit.

Here is what I am wondering?????
Stop all your prattle, you were born for battle -  If you go down Churchill street to the end you get to the USS Swordfish memorial
Defend your liberties and rights - then you walk over to Lexington on the walking path
Be ever so bold to seize silver and gold - walk by the Labyrinth because many of these are made into silver and gold necklaces
By keeping the prize in your sights - I think you keep looking in the direction of the prize the whole time (If we can figure out where that is).  hahahaha

The Gates ajar are in there too above the parking lot and then the Hamm memorial waterfalls. Not all paths are connected but it is interesting that Kaufman Dr. (from the Right Stuff) leads right into the parking lot by the labyrinth the frog pond and walking paths up there.

Just noodling a bit.  Heading over there to wander around. Will report back.

This clue has me a bit flummoxed. Cant wait for the early edition.

if I were going to make a connection to cars themselves, the new “Midway Peace Park” could make some connections. Adjacent to the now demolished Prom Ballroom which hosted BUDDY Holly a week before his untimely death. The lot was a parking lot for one of the auto row dealers ( Buick I think) before auto row left university Ave in the early aughts. This would be a very morbid clue if that was the intent.

That said, a small park, and all of the allusions to battle would seem to defy a peace park.

It seems to me to be saying move yourself away from parking - the recent silverwood and Harriet funds were both parking lots ( silverwood was in an overflow lot) so perhaps that’s the main thrust.

In the song, it talks about a boy and man, but not a star. Could this mean star = Como Planetarium? IDK...

Actually if I had to guess who this little story was about in Clue 7, I'd say it sounds like Denny Hecker. But I'm not sure where that would get you.

Better pack up and get outa this place - maybe telling us to get out of Como? We’re being lied to?

Not sure if this was already talked about but, in looking back at my previous theory of a tribute hunt. The 2015 hunt was tribute to Jim Ragsdale, whose first hunt in 2002 contains clues that are very similar to this hunt. In 2002 the puck was found on the ground in the middle of a baseball diamond, stuck to a tortilla chip can liner.
